(rechte Spalte) Wirelessly, your sunshade connects to your smart home network, smartphone app or remote control. The robust and reliable wireless protocol of Homematic IP uses the frequency of 868 MHZ, so interference from WLAN, Bluetooth and other wireless standards in the 2.4 GHz range is excluded. Equipped with sensors for brightness and innovative wireless drive technology, your sunshade is quietly and energy-efficiently moved into any desired position. For even more convenience, your sunshade also obeys commands to the voice assistants Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Homematic IP is a smart home system that has been awarded by the VDE for its protocol, IT and data security. Connected devices – and so also your sun protection – have their own IP address according to the latest Internet standard IPv6. This means you are well prepared for the future, as the devices can already be addressed directly via the Internet.

Access Point and App

The basis of your smart home system

The Homematic IP Access Point is the central element of the Homematic IP smart home system. It is simply connected to your conventional router and connects the Homematic IP Cloud located in Germany with the Homematic IP devices in your own home – and it is fully encrypted. Since you are not asked for your personal data during setup, you remain anonymous as a user despite using a cloud solution.

Once the access point is connected to the Internet, you can access all functions via a free smartphone app. The intuitive app provides a clear overview of all conceivable functions. The app can also be used to train new devices in just a few simple steps.

This makes it child’s play to integrate your individual sun shading solution into your personal smart home concept.

Absolute data security

When operating via the Homematic IP access point, the Homematic IP cloud service, which is operated exclusively on German servers, takes over the configuration of the individual devices. The cloud service is thus subject to both European and German data protection guidelines.

All data stored in the Homematic IP Cloud is completely anonymous. It is not possible to draw conclusions about the user’s identity or individual usage behavior. All communication between access point, cloud and app is encrypted. Since no private data, such as name, email address or cell phone number, is provided either during or after the installation of the app, anonymity is maintained here as well.
